Human Resources & Recruiting Manager Responsibilities


The Human Resources & Recruiting Manager provides high level of customer service to co-workers and leaders as it relates to human resources processes and recruitment of staff.


As a Human Resources & Recruiting Manager, you will coordinate the implementation of human resource-related services for multiple assigned locations. Responsibilities will include day-to-day administration of human resources policies and procedures as well as handeling Recruiting for all locations.


*Please note, this position will require 1 day/week travel to sister agency in St. Joesph, MI.


Recruiting Functions:


Recruiting, interviewing (phone and in person), screening and hiring new clinicians in accordance to the agencies requirements.

Build relationships with schools, to recruit top talent post gradation.

Represent the company at job fairs.

Conduct reference & background checks.

Ensuring all proper documentation and procedure is used during the hiring, onboarding and training process.

HR Functions:


Manage benefit administration – new enrollments, terms, and open enrollment process.

Handle any employee disciplinary issues.

Responds to any unemployment claims.

Make sure employee files are to CMS regulations.

Report any worker’s compensation claims.

We are looking for a Human Resources & Recruiting Manager who combines solid leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in co-worker relations, recruitment, workforce planning, compensation, benefits, research, etc.. You should be highly deadline-oriented, with strong multitasking and prioritization skills. It is also vital that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.


Specific requirements for the HR & Recruiting Manager role include:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field of study
Demonstrated experience in HR related activities including Recruiting
Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of federal, state and local employment law, employee benefits, fair labor standards


Ability to work with and preserve confidential information


Ability to sustain positive interactions with co-workers at all levels
Proficiency with computers and office equipment
Availability for extensive travel
PHR or SPHR certification, preferred
